Welcome to Provider Pool! We’re thrilled to work with you, and are excited for you to experience getting to shape your career: working where and when you want.

Most of our professionals are classified as independent contractors. Whereas typical W2 employees file their taxes once a year, and have parts of their paychecks withheld for Medicare and other taxes, we don’t withhold any of your paycheck.

Instead, you’ll want to make quarterly payments to the IRS based on how much you have made through Provider Pool over the previous three months.

The quarterly pay-by dates are:

  • March 31st
  • May 31st
  • August 31st
  • December 31st

Tip: Any time you like, as many times as you want per year, email and request your paystub and the total amount you’ve made in the previous quarter.

At the end of the year, we’ll send you IRS form 1099-MISC to fill out and return.

And of course, please reach out throughout the year with questions.

Note: It’s important to understand your tax status and obligations as a member of Provider Pool. Provider Pool is not your employer – instead, we are connecting you with work opportunities that are presented by medical facilities. Those facilities are responsible for making their own decisions regarding whether to classify you as a W2 employee or as an independent contractor.
